I attended East Beauregard High school throughout my elementary and high school years. I graduated from East Beauregard High School 1979.
I attended Lon Morris Jr College and McNeese State University.

I have been teaching at East Beauregard Elementary since August 1995.
This is my 33rd year teaching in Beauregard Parish.
I currently teach all subjects in first grade.
I started teaching first grade at KR Hanchey in August 1993.
I have taught Reading Recovery for two years and fifth grade for one year.
I am married to Craig Simmons and we have three children, Ronnie, Randy and Alyson.
Our son Ronnie and wife Tessa both are employeed at East Beauregard Elementary and High School. Ronnie is the elementary PE teacher, the head football coach and assissant basketball coach. Tessa is the school nurse. They have five children: Courtlyn, Grayson, Ryland, Wyatt and LIzzie.
Randy is a captain for the Lake Charles Fire Department, he has two children: Sophie and Cooper.
Alyson is a Radiology technician and her husband Brody is a Pipe Fitter. They have two sons: Tate and Wes.
We attend Shiloh Baptist Church, where I teach on Wednesday nights and help with Children’s Church.
I like to spend time with my family, reading and going to the lake.
